KVK, Palem Scientists Participated in Field Day on Groundnut Digger cum Shekar organized by RARS, Palem at farmer Venugopal field, Allipur (Vi), Bijinepally (M), Nagarkurnool dist. on 10.01.2024. Dr.M.Malla Reddy (ADR, Palem) was clearly explained about differences between manual harvesting and machine harvesting and also stressed on damage percentage, Time efficiency, digger efficiency and cost of operation of the Groundnut digger. Dr.T.Prabhakar Reddy (PC, KVK, Palem) briefed about ideal conditions of soil texture, structure, bulk density, moisture content, depth of harvesting, RPM of PTO shaft, vehicle speed needed for good harvest of crop with groundnut digger. Dr.V.Ram Reddy, Scientist (Plant Breeding) described about the different high yielding varieties of groundnut. In this Field Day Smt.N.Navatha, Scientist (Agronomy), Smt.Sravanthi, Scientist (Plant Breeding), Dr.D.Vijayalakshmi, Scientist (Soil Science), Mr.K.Ramakrishna, SMS (CP-KVK-Palem), Smt. Neeti, AO, Bijinaplly and 36 Farmers were participated.
