DAATTC, Tornala has organized field day on soil test based fertilizer application at farmer’s field of Sri. T. Anji Reddy, Gajwel (V&M), Siddipet District. Dr. R. Raja, Principal Scientist, South India-Nodal officer, ICAR-Central Institute for Cotton Research (CICR) Regional Station, Coimbatore along with KVK, Medak Scientists. The programme was started with welcome address by Sri. Nagender Reddy. T, MAO, Markook explained the practices followed by the farmers in Markook mandal in cotton. Dr. R. Raja, Principal Scientist briefed about the techniques to be followed in high density cotton cultivation method to all the interested farmers especially in rainfed red chalka soils. Farmer Sri. T. Anji Reddy shared his experiences about the management practices and fertilizer schedule followed by him in cotton crop based on soil testing. Dr. Ch. Pallavi, Scientist (CP) explained about best cotton management practices and paddy. Dr. Ravi, SMS (Entomology) discussed about the IPM practices in paddy & cotton. Dr. Prathap, SMS (CP) informed about the fertilizer schedule to be followed in cotton. Sri. Vishnu, AEO & 25 farmers have attended the programme.
