Village adoption committee members visited the adopted village Mallapur. The team conducted a training programme on package practices of safflower and distributed the safflower seed (ISH-764) to the farmers. Team also visited the farmer’s rice field RNR 31479 which is a short duration superfine variety crop at soft dough stage which is in a good condition. Farmer is happy with the performance of variety. Sheath blight disease was observed at another rice field and recommended to spray propiconazole 1 ml l-1 to control the disease. In this programme Associate Dean, Dr. C. Narendra Reddy, Dr. L.Krishna, Principal Scientist along with committee member Dr.T.Ramesh and Dr.Y.S.Parameswari visited the adopted village.
