Natural farming improved soil fertility, environmental health as well as helps in the reduction of greenhouse emimins and also premises the enhancement of farmers income. Helps to maintain environment health by reducing the level of pollution it reduces human and animal health hazards by reducing the level eeriness in the product. It helps in keeping agricultural production at a sustainable level. It reduces the cost of agricultural production at a sustainable level. It reduces the cost of agricultural production and also improves the soil health. It found that natural farming can comfortably faced the community with nutritious food. Where addressing perusing environmental challenges like climate change water scarcity, bio diversity los, pollution and energy livelihood.  The EEI, Hyderabad team recognized the need to improve the expertise of Extension experts in the field of innovations in natural farming therefore organized a webinar on 18th December 2023 from 10.00 am to 01.00 pm at EEI, Hyderabad. The participants included  92 middle level extension officers belonging to states of Andhrapradesh, Telangana, Kerala, Odisha, Karnataka and Telangana and Union territories of Andaman and Nicobar islands and Puducherry representing Agricultural universities, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, State departments of Agriculture, Horticulture, Fisheries, Sericulture, Dairy Development, Soil Survey and Soil Conservation. Dr. D. Shirisha, Asst. Professor moderated and other EEI faculty took part in the programme. The webinar was delivered by 3 experts well versed in the domain of “Innovations in Natural farming”. They are:

Dr. D. Shirisha, Asst. Professor, EEI invited all the delegates to the webinar by extending a warm welcome to the august gathering.  In his opening remarks, Dr. M. Jagan Mohan Reddy, Director, EEI, informed the participants of the significance of natural farming. According to him, Dr. D. Shirisha, Asst. Professor in developing new innovations in natural farming. Speaking to the group, first speaker, Dr. A.V. Ramanjaneyulu, Principal Scientist & Head, Agro Forestry Division, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad delivered talk on “Principles and practices of natural farming”. According to next speaker, Shri K. Prakash, Regional Technical level, NF, North Regions, AP delivered talk on Preparation of inputs required for natural farming. According, to third speaker Dr. N. Bala Subramani, Director, MANAGE, National Level Nodal Organizations and Knowledge, Repository in Natural Farming, Hyderabad delivered talk on Capacity building and extension strategies to promote natural farming. The last speaker, Shri T. Praveen Kumar Reddy, Agri – Entrepreneur, Pebbair, Wanaparthy Dist. Telangana delivered talk on “Sharing the experiences of practioner on production, processing & marketing of natural farming products”. Dr. D. Shirisha, Asst. Professor, EEI, concluding the webinar made an appeal to all attendees to apply the lessons learnt, in the field, wherever it is practical and to urge urbanites to engage in the various farming enterprises that were covered in the webinar.  The webinar came to an end with vote of thanks proposed by Dr. D.Shirisha, Asst. Professor, EEI.
