August 26, 2023 B.Com in the Constituent Fisheries College of Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology. F. Sc. A 6-day skill development training on fishing techniques was organized for third year students under the International Development Programme/National Agricultural Higher Education Project (IDP/NAHEP) under the program sponsored by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi. Dean of the college, Dr. B. Of. Sharma told that under the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, this 6-day training was organized from 21st August 2023 to 26th August 2023 to promote the Blue Revolution and for the skill development of the students. For training, Dr. Leela Edwin, former director of the Central Institute of Fisheries Technology of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, as a subject expert, provided in-depth training to the students on the related subject. During this training, the students were given knowledge about various arts of sea and fresh water fishing, various types of nets used in them, their construction and necessary materials related to them and traditional boats as well as modern and mechanical boats, apart from sunlight. Detailed information related to modern powered boats and various types of materials and equipment used in them and safe operation of boats and avoiding accidents while fishing in the sea was provided through movies and power point demonstrations. Along with this, the Dean of the college, Dr. B. Of. Sharma and Assistant Professor Dr. Suman Takar trained the students in practical works related to fisheries technology. Under this practical training, the students will be given knowledge about various arts of catching fish in sea and fresh water, various types of nets used in them and the necessary materials related to them, along with traditional boats as well as modern and mechanical boats, various types of fish used in them. Provided practical information about materials and equipment.

At the conclusion of the training, Professor V.S. Durve, former head of the department, has contributed to making Rajasthan its identity at the national level in the field of fisheries by adopting the innovations taking place in the field of fisheries with the knowledge gained from the training related to such skill development of students in the department of Sarovar Science. And expressed gratitude to Dr. Leela Edwin, former Director of the Central Institute of Fisheries Technology of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, for providing intensive training. On this occasion, students Ashish, Ramjas, Jai Dhakad, Vikas and girls Kanta, Radhika and Sita expressed their views.

Expressed gratitude to Singh, with whose cooperation this program of the students was possible. The entire expense of the above training will be borne by (IDP/NAHEP). On the occasion of the closing ceremony of the training, Dr. Suman Takar, assistant professor of the college, conducted the stage and gave the vote of thanks.
