Jan-Bhagidari events in Odisha are being organised as a precursor of G20 third Education Working Group meeting scheduled to be held at Bhubaneswar during 27-29 April 2023. Jan–Bhagidari events has commenced from 1st April 2023 to raise awareness and imbibe the spiritof participation and ownership with India’s G20 Presidency. As part of the programme, ICAR-CIFA organised an awareness programme on 11th April 2023. A group of 35 students from Arjuneswar Dev Nodal High School, Kairi of Puri district participated in the programme. The students arrived in the Institute at 8.00AM and visited aquarium, aquaponics, RAS, Murrel unit, Ornamental Breeding Unit, Prawn Section and KVK-Khordha. Dr. C.K. Mishra, Principal Scientist, Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Sr. Scientist, Dr. Saroj Kumar Swain, Principal Scientist, Dr. D. Panda, Sr. Scientist, and Sri A.K Dash Sr. Scientist and Head KVK-Khordha guided and interacted with the students. The school children watched a short video on India’s G20 presidency. The students also visited Biotechnology and freshwater pearl culture laboratories and interacted with the concerned scientists. Three teachers namely Sri Anil Kumar Paikray, Mrs. Kalyani Sahoo, Mrs Rasmita Behera, Mrutyunjay Nayak accompanied and escorted the students during their visit to ICAR-CIFA. The programme was coordinated by Dr G S Saha, SIC, Social Science Section.
