Mrs Fauzia Anjum Abdul Jaleel, a student of Ph.D. Chemistry, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), has been awarded “Prime Minister Doctoral Research Fellowship” under the SERB-FICCI program for pursuing her Ph.D research. She will be receiving a monthly stipend of Rs 76,880. She is presently working on “Isolation, derivatization of Chilli Capsaicinoid (S) and their effect on biotic and abiotic stress on wheat” under the guidance of Dr Urvashi, Chemist, Department of Chemistry, PAU. Notably, the industrial partner supporting this research endeavour is Nutranta Seeds Private Limited, located at Siddipet, Telangana.

Dr Satbir Singh Gosal, Vice-Chancellor, PAU; Dr Shammi Kapoor, Dean, College of Basic Sciences and Humanities; and Dr Manjeet Kaur Sangha, Head, Department of Chemistry, congratulated the student and wished her all success in future endeavors.
