The President of PAU Sports Association in North America and an alumnus of 1982 batch Mr Randeep Sandhu visited Communication Centre of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) today and interacted with the officials of the Centre.

Mr Sandhu, who was a national hockey player, recollected the sweet memories of his student life at PAU. “I have a strong passion for sports as it keeps me going during highs and lows of life. Moreover, this University has given us booster dose in sports, especially, hockey which has travelled all the way along with me from India to US,” he shared. Hailing PAU’s remarkable contribution to sports, he wished to see more PAU sportspersons playing at the national and international level. Mr Sandhu applauded the Centre for keeping in tune with the farmers’ latest needs in the tech-savvy era.

Dr TS Riar, Additional Director Communication, PAU, lauded the sportsmanship of Mr Sandhu who at present is a businessman, social worker and a sports promoter in North America. Mr Sandhu, popularly known as Tony Sandhu, has always been a role model for the budding players, he added. Mr Ajaypal Singh Poonia, National player of hockey was also present.
