Three scientists, namely Dr Amrit Kaur Mahal from the Department of Mathematics, Statistics and Physics; Dr Pritpal Singh from the Department of Plant Breeding and Genetics; and Dr Sunny Kumar from the Department of Economics and Sociology, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), have brought laurels to the University by winning the DST project entitled “Statistical evaluation of regional inequalities in the socio-economic development among states of India” worth Rs 12.8 lakh. The project has been approved by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India to evaluate regional inequalities among states of India.

Dr Satbir Singh Gosal, Vice-Chancellor, PAU; Dr AS Dhatt, Director of Research; Dr TS Riar, Additional Director Communication; and respective heads of their departments congratulated the scientists and wished them all success in their future endeavors.
