As part of ICAR tribal sub plan 2022 – 23 one day training program was conducted by Agricultural College, Aswaraopet at Nandipadu village grama panchayati, Aswaraopeta mandal, Bhadradri Kothagudem district on 28 -02-2023. The presidential address was given by Dr . M. RamPrasad, Assistant Professor (SS&AC). Later Dr. K. Naganjali, Assistant Professor (Agronomy) delivered a detailed lecture on vermicompost production technologies to the farmers and she has explained about using vermibeds. Further Dr. Syed Ahmed Hussain, Associate Dean motivated tribal farmers beneficiaries to use vermicompost technology in their crop production. Dr.M.Ramprasad and Dr. KadaSiddappa M.M. have explained about importance of vermicompost in nutrient management and soil fertility. Dr.T. Pavani, Asst. Professor (Entomology) delivered lecture on the preparation and usages of vermiwash. Dr. K. Shireesha, Asst. Professor (Agril. Extension) and Smt. D. Sravanthi, Asst. Professor (Agronomy) have delivered lectures on importance of vermicompost and its significance in crop production. Further mandal panchayat officer Sri P. Sita Rama Raju encouraged the farmers to learn vermicompost technologies and utilise them efficiently. The guest of the programme Sri.V.Veeraswamy, Gram Sarpanch revealed the importance of ancient farming technologies and enlightened the present generation young farmers to learn the advanced agricultural technologies for improving their standard of living.Further one oil palm harvester, one tractor mounted sprayer, one battery operated sprayer, 5 vermi beds were distributed to the gram panchayat for utilizing them for the benefit of farming community in nandipadu village. About 25 kg vermicompost and one vyavsaya dikhsoochi were distributed to each farmer. About 50 tribal farmers were actively participated in the programme. Later Sri V.Veeraswamy, Gram Panchayat Sarpanch expressed his gratitude towards receiving the inputs from the Agriculture College, Aswaraopeta staff and for selecting their village for condiucting the program. The entire training programme was organised by Dr. Kada Siddappa M.M. , Dr. K. Naganjali, Dr. K. Shireesha and D. Sravanthi. Dr.R.Shivakumar, Teaching Associate (Aagronomy), Sri T. Veerabadru, Kumar. V. Alivelu, Gram Secretary, M.Naresh, Vice Sarpanch, press, print and media, AELP (Vermicompost unit) students have actively practiced in the program. In the presence of Grama Panchayat Sarpanch V. Veera Swami, Vice Sarpanch T.Veerabhadru, P.Sita Rama Raju, Mandal Panchayat Officer, Kumari V. Alivelu, Grama Secretary, Village heads, Progressive farmers and 50 tribal farmers the Associate Dean of Agricultural College, Aswaraopet Dr. Syed Ahmed Hussain had distributed the above mentioned inputs to the village grama panchayat. Further he emphasized to utilize the given inputs for the benefit of tribal farmers in this village. Finally vote of thanks was expressed by Dr.V.Venkanna, Professor (GPBR).
