The main aim of the project was to encourage the farmers to cultivate Pulses, Oil seeds and Vegetables in Rabi Season instead of Paddy. As a part of this project Dr. Ch. Pragathi, Senior Scientist (Agronomy), AICRIP on IFS gave an introductory speech on the importance of the project and zero tillage in Maize. Dr. K. Rukmini Devi, Principal Scientist and Head, ARS, Madhira introduced the best management practices in Pulse Cultivation.

Dr. A. Sailaja, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Wyra shared her experiences on successful, Sustainable, Replicable farm diversification models. Smt. P.S.M. Phanisri, SMS(Extension), KVK, Wyra explained the marketing opportunities in ID crops. Smt. K. Nagaswathi, Scientist, ARS, Madhira introduced the Plant Protection measures in Pulses. Dr. G. Kiran Reddy, Scientist (SS), AICRIP on IFS explained integrated nutrient management practices. Dr. T. Bharath, Scientist (Agronomy), ARS, Madhira addressed the gathering on improved production technologies in groundnut and Sesamum. About 80 farmers participated in the programme.
