KVK, Palem has organized training programme on seed production and marketing aspects for Farmer producer organization (FPOs) & Farmers at KVK, Palem on19.10.2023. In this programme Sri. A Britto, Regional manager, NSC, secundrabad addressed on seed production procedures, National seed corporation dealership process and marketing aspects etc, Dr. G. Eswar Reddy, Scientist (Pulses breeder) explained about seed production technologies in pulses and oil seeds and management practices for good quality seeds.
Sri. R P Naidu, Regional manager, APEDA, Hyderabad briefed about export -import policies for FPOs/FPCs. Dr. B. Rajashekar, SMS (Agril. Extension) briefed about entrepreneurial opportunities in agriculture and allied sectors for FPOs and its importance in timely execution of activities and stressed different income generation activities like vermicomposting, nursery management, seed processing, protected cultivation and value addition in millets etc. In this programme all the scientific staff of KVK, Palem, NSC officers, Kurnool and 55 FPO farmers were participated.
