Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Malyal distributed 1000 no. of poultry birds on 29.05.2024 (1month old, Gramapriya chicks) to tribal farmer beneficiaries under Tribal Sub Plan, 2022-23 and 2023-24 in TSP adopted villages. Sri Srikanth, Veterinary Assistant Surgeon (VAS), Kothaguda explained about the characters of breed, care to be taken for distributed chicks during this summer. Dr. S. Malathi, Programme Coordinator suggested to meet daily requirements of proteins for their families through eggs to overcome malnutritional problems and wherever possible multiply these chicks in more numbers and establish backyard poultry as micro level enterprise for increasing family income. Dr. E. Rambabu SMS (Horticulture), Smt. Sushmitha, AEO, Kothaguda cluster and 200 number of tribal farmer beneficiaries (Doravarivempally – 92; Eshwaragudem – 61; Ootla – 47) participated in the programme.
