Smt. S. Rukmani, Joint Secretary, Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, New Delhi visited ICAR-ATARI, Ludhiana to discuss crop residue management strategies and action plans for the current year. She appreciated the work done by the Krishi Vigyan Kendras in Punjab to curb residue burning and promote scientific management of paddy residue. She suggested Happy Seeder as the most viable technology for sowing wheat without burning paddy straw.
