Sh. Rishi Pal Singh (IAS) officially joined as the new Registrar of Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, amidst a gathering comprising the Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Satbir Singh Gosal, and officers of the university.

Dr. Gosal, extending a warm welcome, highlighted the dawn of a new era in PAU’s pursuit of excellence in agricultural education and research. Recognizing PAU’s six-decade-long legacy, he lauded its pioneering role in agricultural innovation and unwavering dedication to serving farmers. He proudly announced PAU’s top rank among state agricultural universities in the NIRF 2023 rankings, emphasizing the institution’s commitment to advancement. Stressing the importance of collaboration, he emphasized that agricultural progress thrives on partnerships with stakeholders. He envisioned boundless collaborative opportunities, locally and globally, aiming to revolutionize agricultural practices. Expressing confidence in Sh. Rishi Pal Singh, the new Registrar, Dr Gosal anticipated greater heights for PAU under his leadership.

Sh. Rishi Pal Singh, renowned for his tenure as an IAS officer across various districts, emphasized the strength of collective teamwork in achieving exceptional goals. Sh. Rishi Pal Singh, belonging to the 2004 Batch PCS and 2014 Batch IAS, has held pivotal roles including SDM in Dhuri and Gidderbaha, ADC in Ludhiana, Kapurthala, and Moga, Deputy Commissioner in Mansa and TarnTaran, Additional Commissioner M.C. in Ludhiana, and Commissioner M.C. in Bathinda and Jalandhar.
