Under the guidance of Dr G.P.S. Sodhi, Additional Director of Extension Education at Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, PAU’s Krishi Vigyan Kendra in Ferozepur hosted an Awareness Camp at village Laddu wala. Attended by 102 farmers and farm women from SC/ST communities, the event focused on crucial topics of Soil Health and Judicious Fertilizer Application.

During the session, Dr Munish Kumar, an Assistant Professor of Animal Science, encouraged farmers to prioritize soil health preservation and highlighted forthcoming vocational training opportunities at KVK Ferozepur. He also underscored the pivotal role of livestock farming in bolstering rural economies.

Dr Harpreet Kaur, Assistant Professor in Soil Science, shed light on the significance of soil and water testing procedures, advocating for their regular implementation. Moreover, she emphasized the prudent utilization of fertilizers, promoting sustainable agricultural practices among participants.
