In a joint effort, Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Sri Muktsar Sahib and the School of Organic Farming (SOOF), Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), organized a training programme on the cultivation and processing of aromatic and spice crops. The event, which more than 50 participants attended, aimed to equip farmers with the necessary knowledge and skills to enhance their agricultural practices.

The training featured a series of technical lectures delivered by experts in the field, including Dr SS Walia, Director of the School of Organic Farming; Dr Karamjit Sharma, Associate Director (Training) at KVK Sri Muktsar Sahib; Dr Vajinder Pal from SOOF; and Dr Gurveer Kaur from the Department of Processing and Food Engineering at PAU. Their insights covered various topics, including the cultivation and processing techniques of different aromatic and spice crops.

To further support the participants in their agricultural endeavor’s, the training also included the distribution of turmeric seeds to the attendees.
