A block level awareness camp was organized on 18.10.2023 at village Faridkot Kotli by the Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bathinda, run by the Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana. Raised awareness for planting. Scientist of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Professor (Pisar Education) Dr. Gurmeet Singh ji said that four villages have been selected for stubble management this year, in which awareness campaigns, camps and exhibitions are being organized so that stubble can be managed properly. They gave information about the complete management of stubble in their field using stubble management machines like surface seeder, happy seeder, smart seeder, zero till drill, reverse plough, mulcher, chopper etc. Along with this, he shared detailed information about the new varieties and quality of wheat from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana with the farmers. On this occasion, Assistant Professor, Plant Protection, Dr. Vinay Singh Pathania shared information about the use of straw for mushroom cultivation. and also explained about the importance of vegetables and fruits in the home garden. Dr. Pathania gave a lot of information to the visiting farmers about the pests of wheat, paddy and soft crops. Detailed information regarding this was shared with the farmers. Dr. Pathania said that in the coming time they will give full support for straw management.
