Convener, Village adoption program created awareness on IIHR seed portal to the innovative and ideal vegetable farmers of the adopted village on 21.04.2023. Farmers ordered 1Kg of Bottle gourd seed (Arka Prasan) and two units of seed kits total worth of Rs.2518/- as a trial. Further, farmers are informed the popularity and demand of the seed from various states, and encouraged the seed multiplication of the said variety of Bottle gourd seed. As per the IIHR literature, it is further recommended not to cultivate other varieties of Ridge gourd nearby Arka Prasan while seed production as it is a open pollinated variety.
