Udaipur: On June 3, scientists from Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur participated in the Inflation Relief Camp program at village Ghati in newly formed district Salumber. Raghuveer Singh Meena, former Member of Parliament, Udaipur, came as the chief guest in this program and urged the villagers to make maximum use of the government schemes. The program was presided over by Pratap Singh, Special Officer, District Sabar. As a special guest, Surendra Patidar Sub-Divisional Officer Salumber provided information about public welfare schemes being run by the government. On this occasion, Jagdish Bhandari, Member Board of Management, Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur informed the villagers about the 9 schemes of the state government and told that Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur should also participate in the camp. given the opportunity. Under the scheduled caste sub-plan of the University, 20 chicks were distributed to each farmer of Pratapdhan breed for backyard poultry rearing of 50 farmers. 50 farmers were selected in the tribal sub-plan who keep livestock. 5-5 kg mineral salts were distributed to those farmers. Under the All India Coordinating Research Project on the use of animal energy, 25 farmers were distributed improved wooden ties for plowing bullock-drawn equipment, which increases the production capacity of bullocks, by Krishi Vigyan Kendra 350 improved varieties of fruit trees like mango, Saplings of guava, lemon jackfruit etc. were distributed. Shri Jagdish Bhandari called upon the farmers to take advantage of the schemes being run by Krishi Vigyan Kendra and Krishi Vishwavidyalaya to make their farming profitable. Principal Scientist of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Vallabhnagar, Dr. R.L. Soni gave information about public welfare schemes of the Centre. Dr. Amit Vishnoi of Agricultural University provided information about the plans of Animal Husbandry Department and gave information about the utility and importance of mineral salts and in future agriculture.


The university will always lead the farmers in the front line by taking them step by step with new schemes. At the end of the program, Sarpanch of Ghati Panchayat Mr. Devilal Ji Meena expressed gratitude to everyone and expressed eagerness to work with Agricultural University in future.
