Today on 07.05.2024 at 03:00 pm, Honorable Vice Chancellor Dr. D.R. Singh flagged off the Agricultural Knowledge Vehicle. With the aim of all-round upliftment of agriculture and animal husbandry, this knowledge vehicle provided by Bihar government provides facility of soil testing, amount of fertilizer to be applied to farmers for a particular crop, quick diagnosis of animal problems, identification of weeds including insects and diseases and its management. Information will be received. Krishi Gyan Vahan organized a program today in Pipra village of Gordih Panchayat to provide latest information about agriculture to the farmers and make them aware.

On this occasion, all the Deans, Directors and Scientists of the University as well as the Co-Director Agriculture of Bhagalpur were present.

On this occasion, the Honorable Vice Chancellor said that “We are reaching the doorstep of the farmers through Krishi Gyan Vahan, through this the problems arising in animal husbandry, horticulture or farming will be solved quickly, now the farmers will not have to come here and there with their problems. There is no need to wander, rather the solution will be available at their doorstep.”

What is special about agricultural knowledge there:

To enhance the knowledge of farmers, two big LED screens have been installed to show technical films. Through this, soil testing samples will be collected, the report of which will be sent to the farmers. This vehicle has the facility to solve the problems related to agriculture at the doorstep of the farmers. Through this, it will be possible to solve practical problems related to agriculture and allied sectors. Problems related to insect diseases of food grains/horticulture/other crops as well as health of animals and birds were solved.

Through this, agricultural inputs like seeds, organic fertilizers, liquid bio-fertilizer and mushroom spawn etc. will be made available.

Agricultural knowledge vehicle reached Pipra village:

On the first day of operation, the Krishi Gyan Van reached Pipra village of Gordih Panchayat, where farmers were given information on mango, litchi, summer vegetable cultivation, soil testing as well as animal husbandry by the scientists of Krishi Vigyan Kendra. Films on current topics were screened in front of the villagers on the LED screens installed in the Gyan Vahan. The villagers handed over soil samples from their fields to the concerned scientist for testing. On this occasion, Dr. RK Sohane, Director of Extension Education, Bihar Agricultural University, Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Senior Scientist and Head of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Shri Ram Anil Kumar, District Agriculture Officer of Bhagalpur along with all the scientists and personnel of KVK were present.

Director of Extension Education Dr. RK Sohne called upon the farmers of Pipra village to take full advantage of the Gyan Vahan.
