ICAR – Central Citrus Research Institute, Nagpur celebrated its 38th Foundation Day here today.
Prof. C.D. Mayee, Ex-Chairman, ASRB, Dr. Pranjib Chakrabarty, Ex – Member, ASRB, Dr. Y. G. Prasad, Director, ICAR-CICR and Dr. Dilip Ghosh, Director, CCRI graced the occasion.
Three Citrus farmers, Shri. Kundan Gulabrao Jadhao from Jalgaon, Shri. Yashwant R. Mahajan from Wardha and Shri. Jiwan V. Kadu from Amravati were felicitated for establishing excellent citrus orchard of Nagpur mandarin, Sweet orange and Acid lime crop respectively with the technical guidance from the scientists of the institute.
News reporters Shri. Vinod Ingole from Agrowon and Mrs. Snehlata Srivastava from Lokmat Times were also felicitated for transferring CCRI information and technologies through newspapers to the farmers and readers.
Awards were given for best research publications, winner of different sport events, essay and quiz competition etc.
COVID – 19 vaccination camp for the staff and their families, tree plantation were held and a new video film titled “CCRI – a journey so far since 1985 – 2022” was released during the occasion.
