In total, 60 organic growers attended the monthly training camp of PAU Organic Farmers’ Club, organised at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), today under the aegis of Directorate of Extension Education.

At the camp, Dr SS Walia, Director, School of Organic Farming and Dr Ruma Devi, vegetable science expert, explained integrated organic farming system and agronomic practices of summer vegetables for diversification, nutrition and economic growth.

Dr AK Mehta, Former ADG, IACR, apprised the growers of participated guarantee scheme – certification.

A progressive organic grower Mr Baljit Singh Kang and Ex-President of the club Mr Manpreet Singh Grewal shared their experiences of residue-free production and profitable venture through organic cultivation.

Earlier, Dr AS Sidhu, Programme Coordinator, welcomed the growers, while Mr AS Chahal, President of the club, proposed a vote of thanks.
