The Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Fatehgarh Sahib, conducted a five-day training programme on 24.11.2023 the “Preparation of Bakery and Confectionery Products.”

Dr Vipan Kumar Rampal, Associate Director (Training), Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Fatehgarh Sahib, gave details about the training programme and emphasized that such training programmes were need of the hour. “Learning skill and applying it to earn a living and start an enterprise is important to enhance the income and make agriculture more profitable,” he added.

The trainees were equipped with various techniques of baking including cakes, chocolates, muffins, ragi cookies, pastry, biscuits, and pizza base by Dr Manisha Bhatia, Assistant Professor, Home Science. Demonstrations on preparation of these items were given to provide hands-on-experience to the trainees. The trainees can implement the skills at household level by preparing nutritious and healthy food at their homes, and also start their enterprises.
