The inter-college youth fair of Punjab Agricultural University started with a bang. In this youth fair running from November 01 to 09.2023, P.A.U. Apart from five colleges located in Ludhiana campus, students of Institute of Agriculture in Gurdaspur and Bathinda and Agricultural College in Ballowal Sonkhari are participating. On the occasion of the opening ceremony of this youth fair, Dr. Satbir Singh Gosal, Vice Chancellor, PAU. Said that youth fairs play a major role in building the personality of students by honing their art. He said that we all have creative talent and these youth fairs help us identify it. Encouraging the students to participate more and more in co-curricular activities along with education, he said that these activities have special importance in living life smoothly and giving it an aesthetic touch.

On this occasion Dr. Nirmal Joda, Director Student Welfare highlighted the importance of Yuva Melas in student life and said that of course education has special importance but activities in Yuva Mela connect students with subtle arts. PAU Being proud of the eminent artists who have made names in countries and abroad by getting training from the stage of Rang Manch, he expressed the hope that our talented students will continue to be dedicated to Punjab, Punjabi  in the future as well and similarly P.A.U. will continue to illuminate the name of He said that Dr. PAU under the patronage of Gosal. An All-India Inter-University National Youth Fair is also being organized by on this occasion, poetry recitation and hall rasa competitions were conducted in the morning session.

In the poetry recitation competitions, the first prize was won by Harmanjot Singh of Agriculture College, the second prize went to Prateek Sharma of Horticulture and Forestry College and the third prize went to Jasmin Kaur Sidhu of Agriculture College. Similarly, in comedy competitions, Nishatha of College of Agriculture won first place, Lovekaran Singh of College of Basic Science and Humanities won second place and Pawan Kumar of College of Agriculture and Prateek Sharma of College of Horticulture and Forestry won third place.

Today’s opening ceremony was conducted by Dr. Vishal Bacter did and thanked Dr. Jaswinder Kaur Brar said. On this occasion Dr. Ajmer Singh Dhatt, Director Research PAU. Dr. Shammi Kapoor, Dean Basic Sciences College, Dr. Keeranjot Sidhu Dean, Community Science College, Dr. Tejinder Singh Riad, Additional Director Communication Center and Rishi Inder Singh Gill, Milk Officer were specially present.
