ICAR-CIAH, Bikaner organized workshop on IPR and Copyright Issues in Horticultural Sciences with the support of IP and TM Unit of ICAR, New Delhi. During the workshop Dr. Jagadish Rane, Director, CIAH and Chairman of the Workshop presented opening remarks and highlighted the significant achievements made by CIAH in IP protection technology management. Dr. Neeru Bhushan, ADG-IPM&TM, ICAR, New Delhi also join workshop online and described in details about the several issues of IP and TM Management and suggested to scientists that one IP one MoU and one technology must come their project. During the workshop importance of IPR portfolio for public research organization was presented by Dr. Ashwini Siwal, Asstt. Prof. & Director Entrepreneurial Law Clinic Faculty of Law, Delhi University, Delhi. He has also clearly described the procedure of patent/copyright and GI in relation to horticultural crops.

Dr. Vikram Singh, Sr. Scientist, IP&TM Unit, ICAR, New Delhi presented about IPR portfolio management and its impact on Agriculture Research. He has also elaborated the status of IP technologies in ICAR. He also suggested for establishment of incubation center and rapid action on IP protection at Institute level. At the end of the workshop Dr. Dhurendra Singh, PS & I/c ITMU presented vote of thanks to all participants and resource persons of the workshop.
