ICAR-Central Tuber Crops Research Institute, Thiruvananthapuram and Indian Psychopathological Society (Southern Zone), hosted two day ‘National Symposium on Plant Health Management: Current Trends and Novel Mitigation Strategies’ (11th-12th September). The Chief Guest, Dr. Mohanan Kunnummal, Vice Chancellor, University of Kerala, emphasized the importance one health, and need to protect every other species which is the tradition of BHARATH. Dr. G Byju, Director, ICAR-CTCRI, said that climate change is the hindering factor to achieve targets of agriculture, plant health is related with human health, animal health and soil health. Dr. T. Makesh Kumar, President, the Indian Psychopathological Society (Southern Zone) and Head of the Division of Crop Protection welcomed address. The event provides a platform for researchers, experts, and stakeholders to exchange ideas and collaborate on innovative strategies to ensure the health and productivity of crops in India. Dr. Kajal Kumar Biswas, President, Indian Psychopathological Society, Dr. Bikash Mandal, Additional Director General, International Relations, Dr. S. K. Chakrabarti, former Vice Chancellor, UBKV, West Bengal, and Shri. S. Premkumar, General Manager, Canara Bank, Thiruvananthapuram Circle were present during the function. Approximately 150 delegates participated in the event.
