ICAR-National Bureau of Agricultural Insect Resources (NBAIR), Bengaluru conducted SCSP program at Paruvathahalli village, Pennagram Taluk and TSP program at Bothakadu village of Dharmapuri district of Tamil Nadu in collaboration with Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Dharmapuri.

Dr. S. N. Sushil Director, ICAR-NBAIR was the chief guest and distributed the agri inputs such as solar light traps, battery operated sprayers, honey bee boxes, mango and coconut seedlings, vermicompost, biopesticides like Metarhizium anisopliae, Beauveria bassiana, Bacillus spp. to the scheduled caste and tribal farmers for upliftment of their livelihood.

He also distributed the seeds of vegetables for establishing Nutrigarden in their main field as well as in their backyards. He stressed the importance of biopesticides, benefits of honey bees and importance of nutrient of millets and vegetables in their livelihood.

Dr. M.A. Vennila, Program Coordinator, KVK, Dharmapuri district, Dr. A. Kandan and Dr. M. Sampath Kumar from ICAR-NBAIR coordinated the programme.
