The Additional Director General, Education Planning and Home Science (EP&HS), Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) Dr Bimlesh Mann visited the College of Community Science, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) and shared her insights with Dr Kiranjot Sidhu, Dean, College of Community Science; Dr Pardeep Kumar Chhuneja, Dean of Post Graduate Studies, and heads of the departments and faculty of the College.

Dr Sidhu apprised her of the work being done by the College in the field of Community Science to enhance the employability potential of students and enable them to become successful entrepreneurs. She also said that the College was looking forward to submit the proposals for professional and skill oriented degree, diploma and certificate courses in different disciplines of Community Science. A number of ideas were shared and discussed to enhance the visibility of the College, added she.

Dr Mann appreciated the efforts of the faculty members in the establishment and successful running of the Units in Bakery and Confectionery and Health Foods. While visiting the Experiential Learning Unit of the Department of Food and Nutrition, Dr Mann admired the excellence and professionalism created among the students and expressed her satisfaction over the amount of revenue generated by marketing the products.
