To promote the progressive use of official language Hindi, Hindi Fortnight was organized by ICAR-National Institute of Abiotic Stress Management from 14th September to 29th September. Hindi Day and Hindi Fortnight were inaugurated on 14th September under the guidance of Dr. K. Sammi Reddy, Chairman of the Official Language Implementation Committee, Director, RRSP. Dr. Chanda Nimbkar (Director, Animal Husbandry Department, Nimbkar Agricultural Research Institute, Phaltan) was present as the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony. He informed everyone present about the importance of official language Hindi in educational institutions. After this, various competitions like Hindi essay writing, note and draft writing, typewriting, self-written poetry recitation, debate, elocution, quiz etc. were organized every day in Hindi Pakhwada. In which all the members of the institute participated enthusiastically and made the competitions successful.

During the Hindi Fortnight celebrations, a Hindi workshop was organized on 27 September 2023 for the trend of Hindi language in the institute. In this workshop, Dr. Praveen Tavre, Assistant, Chief Technical Officer, ICAR-RIST, Baramati trained all present on the topic “Yoga: Highway to Holistic Personal Development”. All the employees of the institute directly benefited from this workshop.

Hindi Fortnight Ceremony and Prize Distribution Ceremony was organized on 29th September in Sardar Patel Auditorium of the Institute. Dr. K. Sammi Reddy, Director and Chairman Official Language Implementation Committee, National Institute of Abiotic Stress Management, Baramati, Dr. Praveen Rao (Vice Chancellor, Prof. Jaishankar Telangana State Agricultural University), Dr. S. D. Sawant, (Former Vice Chancellor, Balasaheb Sawant Konkan Agricultural University , Dapoli), Dr. G. Rajeshwar Rao (Former Director, Tropical Forest Research Institute, Jabalpur), Dr. Ishwar Pawar (Head of the Department, Chandmal Tarachand Bora College, Shirur) graced the programme. The dignitaries present at the closing ceremony honored the competition winners by giving them prizes. The chief guest informed everyone about the importance of Hindi as the official language. Chairman of the Official Language Implementation Committee, Dr. K. Sammi Reddy expressed satisfaction over the appropriate efforts made for the trend of Hindi language. Dr. Vanita Salunkhe (Member Secretary, Official Language Implementation Committee), Dr. Paritosh Kumar, Dr. Praveen Tavre etc. organized the program and made the program successful.
