A two-day (22 to 23 February) review meeting for the research work of the Research Advisory Committee started today at ICAR-Central Sheep and Wool Research Institute (CSWRI), Avikanagar.

Dr. Vishnu Sharma, Chairman, Research Advisory Committee (RAC), CSWRI and former Vice Chancellor, Veterinary University Rajuvasu, Bikaner, Dr. G.K. Gaur, Assistant Director General, ICAR and expert on various subjects of animal husbandry, Dr. R.K. Savayan, Dr. P.K. Das, Dr. V.K. The direction and results of various research works of Avikanagar are being assessed in detail by Kulkarni.

Dr. Arun Kumar Tomar, Director (CSWRA) informed all the experts in detail about the production capacity of sheep, goats and rabbits of various sectors of the institute and the breeds being given to the farmers. The Director also informed about the institute’s research and farmers’ awareness. For this, a presentation was given to the RAC team about health camp, night chaupal, and display of advanced breed animals.

Dr. Vishnu Sharma, Chairman, RAC Committee was happy with the work of the Institute and had a detailed discussion with the Institute team on the suggestions and aspects for the Institute to work in new areas of research in the future.

The heads of departments and in-charges of various departments and regional centers of Avikanagar Institute gave a presentation to the RAC committee about the research and dissemination work done by the scientists of their departments in the last years.
