PAU A five-day training course on ‘Maintenance of Fruits and Vegetables at Home Level’ was conducted by the Skill Development Center of Punjab in collaboration with the Department of Food and Technology. Dr. Rupinder Kaur, Associate Director (Skill Development) said that 17 trainees participated in this training course. Dr. Prerna Kapila, course coordinator said that during this course, the learners were given information on making different products from fruits and vegetables like avla candy, carrot jam, tomato juice, tomato puree and sauce, shukash and nectar, papad vadi, Fruit jam, guava jelly, vegetable pickle etc

Dr. Arshdeep Singh, Technical Coordinator, said that preserving fruits and vegetables for a long period of time is very important. He inspired the students to start this business on a commercial level Learners can also provide clean and nutritious meals for their families at home Learners who want to start this business at a commercial level can take help from our department. During this course, various experts Dr. Hanuman Bobde, Dr. Vikas Kumar, Dr. Jagbir Rihal, Dr. Sukhpreet Kaur and Dr. Neha Babbar shared her experiences with the learners and provided practical information The co-coordinator of this course, Kanwaljit Kaur, informed the students about the activities of the Skill Development Center and thanked everyone.
