As many as 11 Ph.D. students from the Department of Zoology, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), participated in three conferences held in 20th October 2023. Dr Avneet Kaur, Project Associate-I in DST-SERB, has been awarded the second best oral presentation award during the “National Conference on Entomology,” held at Barog, Solan, Himachal Pradesh from October 13-14, 2023. Dr Kaur is carrying out research under the guidance of Principal Investigator of the project Dr Devinder Kaur Kocher, Professor (Zoology).

Three advisee’s of Dr Bhupinder Kaur Babbar, namely Ms Kiran Rani, a Ph.D student; Ms Komalpreet Kaur, a Ph.D student and Ms Gurpreet Kaur, M.Sc. passout, were awarded the first prize each during the Shodh Samwadh competition, “Best Oral Presentation” and “Best Poster Presentation,” respectively at Chandigarh Science Congress (CHASCON) 2023 on “National Conference on Global Science for Global Wellbeing,” held at Punjab University, Chandigarh from October 12-14, 2023.

Dr Satbir Singh Gosal, Vice-Chancellor; Dr Pardeep Kumar Chhuneja, Dean, Postgraduate Studies; Dr AS Dhatt, Director of Research; Dr Shammi Kapoor, Dean, College of Basic Sciences and Humanities; and Dr Tejdeep Kaur Kler, Principal Ornithologist and Head, Department of Zoology; congratulated the students and wished them all success in their future endeavors.
