ICAR- Vivekananda Parvatiya Krishi Anusandhan Sansthan, Almora organised a 2-day Hands-on training program on Apiculture from 08th – 09th February 2024.

 

Dr. Lakshmi Kant, Director, ICAR-VPKAS, Almora, urged the participants to absorb honey production technology in day-to-day life. He said that this technology is straightforward and a farmer can secure his livelihood by adopting this technology. Dr. Kant urged all the participants to act as master trainers in his village to spread the honey production technology.

Dr N K Hedau, Head, Crop Improvement Division, emphasized the importance of honey bees and their products.

Dr. K. K Mishra, Head, Crop Protection Division and Training Coordinator, briefed about the objectives and schedule of the training program.

A total of 39 officials from Sashatra Seema Bal, Almora belonging to 14 different states have joined the program.
