The fourth year students of PAU at village Ghavadi under the leadership of Extension Expert Dr. Devinder Tiwari and Agriculture Extension Officer Dr. With the support of Gurmeet Dhaliwal, a poster making competition was organized for school students in the government senior secondary school of village Ghavadi. The theme of this competition was about managing stubble without burning. On this occasion, the school students were given information about the pollution damage caused by stubble burning.

PAU students also informed the school students about the straw conservation machinery. In the competition, school students made posters about the ill effects of pollution. Out of which the winning students were given first, second and third prizes by the Head of Extension Education.

Head of Extension Education Department Dr. Addressing the school students, Kuldeep Singh asked them to distribute the information received from the graduate students to their homes and families and inform the farmers in their neighborhood about the pollution caused by stubble burning.

Agriculture Extension Officer Dr. Gurmeet Dhaliwal thanked the PAU experts for coming to the village school and said that the new students under training will help in creating awareness among the farmers in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.
