Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Malyal organized Training programme on IPM in Chili to tribal farmers under Tribal Sub Plan project, 2023-24 at KVK, Malyal on 24-11-2023. As a part of Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas, Dr. E. Rambabu, SMS (Horticulture) explained about tribal freedom fighters, government schemes for the development of tribal people. Dr. E. Rambabu, SMS (Horticulture) briefed about IPM in Chilli with special emphasis on leaf curl virus and wilt management. Dr. S. Malathi, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Malyal explained about Suitable Paddy and pulses varieties for ensuing Yasangi Season. She also explained about Rabi, Paddy, nursery management which includes seed treatment, water management and plant protection measures. She also explained about drum seeding technology in paddy. Later, distributed 4.6q Sunhemp seed under Tribal Sub Plan, 2023-24 to 23 tribal farmer beneficiaries from Chakru thanda and Ootla villages of Gudur Mandal. In this programme, 23 farmers from these TSP adopted villages participated.
