Prologue
Use of digital gadgets in Agriculture which started off as limited small scale pilots a couple of decades ago, is currently gaining momentum. Emerging technologies like Geo-spatial, Internet of Things (IOT), Robotics etc. offer smart and innovative utilities that can constructively disrupt agricultural value chains. Several stakeholders including government, civil society, private etc. have resulted in maximizing timely and personalized information access, enhanced productivity, transparency, and efficiency in food systems. There have also been challenges and gap in transferring the technology to the intended users. This training is intended to engage master trainers and build a pool of competent instructors who can then teach the material to the field staff and farmers, thus creating a broader reach; sustainability; and is much more cost and time efficient. The programme is carefully designed to address these issues with the following objectives.
