National Agri-Startups Conclave (NASC) 2023 organized Pantnagar. 07 October 2023 National Agri-Startups Conclave (NASC) 2023 was organized today by IDP Nahep and his team in the university to promote innovation by inspiring the thinking of the youth. The chief guest at the conclave was Deputy Director General (Education) of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research and National Coordinator IDP Nahep Dr. R.C. Agarwal along with Director, Indo-Dutch Horticulture Technology Pvt. Ltd. Chafi, Bhimtal Shri Sudhir Chadha was present. The conclave was presided over by Vice Chancellor Dr. Manmohan Singh Chauhan. On this occasion, more than 40 startups and entrepreneurs along with the team of IDP Nahep, Registrar, Dean, Directors, Scientists and students of the University were present.

Chief guest at the conclave was Dr. R.C. Aggarwal said that the youth of our country have good thinking and technology but due to lack of efficient leadership, they are not able to be utilized properly whereas our youth get attracted towards other countries and leave their country to work there. Are going. He said that the youth should start startups keeping their country in mind so that others can also get employment. He said that today is the time of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. Today, university students should benefit from the startup entrepreneurs who have come to this conclave. Students also need to take training from them. Nahep project was identified as the best among the projects funded by the World Bank due to its achievements.

Vice Chancellor Dr. Chauhan said in his presidential address that 40 percent of the youth startup entrepreneurs who came to this conclave are alumni of this university. He said that by inspiring the thinking of youth, 10 percent of the youth automatically get inspired towards it. The youth should keep in mind whether they want to become a provider or a job seeker. Youth should keep in mind these four things: innovation, automation, marketing and income. The youth should be proficient in every field so that they can easily do that work in any field of work. There is a need for the youth to change their thinking according to today’s times so that farmers/stakeholders can benefit from the use of new technologies generated by them.

Shri Sudhir Chadha said that agriculture plays an important role in the Indian economy. Young people can become entrepreneurs through different types of technologies. The role of genes has increased in the agricultural sector. He said that the field of research is unlimited. This requires sustained attention, investment, widespread awareness and sustained promotion of agriculture startups. He appealed to the young students to become tractors and not tellers. He told about the achievements made by innovations made on flowers and fruits in many countries of the world and in his country such possibilities are valuable which can be availed by the youth.
