ICAR-Central Potato Research Institute, Shimla organized 3 day’s training programme as per the instructions of the council, on “Making a Secure & Resilient Workplace at ICAR/ICAR Institutes”, during 22-24 February, 2023 for administrative staff. In this training programme, 26 officials from different ICAR Institutes of the country participated. In the inaugural session, Dr. Brajesh Singh, Director, ICAR-CPRI, Shimla welcomed all the participants from the respective ICAR Institutes and stated the objective of the training is to create awareness and familiarize the administrative officials about the different aspects of administrative functions. The Institute designed the training programme to cover lectures (online/offline), Hands on training, Educational Tours to CPRI Kufri – Fagu Unit, and Field demonstration on Fire Safety. Lectures were delivered by renowned speakers on topics – Women Security and role on Internal Complaints Committee (ICC); Financial Risk Management and Measure; Hands on Training: e-Office; Risks management in GeM, case studies and measure; Disaster Management and Time Management; Contractual Labour Risks and Measures with focus on security personnel; Emotional Intelligence and Team Work. All the participants took keen interest in attending every session of this training and appreciated the module developed by ICAR-CPRI for the training. Towards the end of the training session a feedback form was shared with all the participants for their valuable suggestions and inputs for future improvisation. In the concluding session, Dr. VP Sharma, Director, ICAR-DMR, Solan was the Chief Guest of the valedictory session and in his address, he congratulated ICAR-CPRI, Shimla for successful completion of this training. In the end, Sh. Joginder Singh Thakur, Course Director and Sh. CP Sharma, Course Co-ordinator thanked all the participants and in house officials who made this training a success.
