ICAR-DFR celebrated “Hindi Pakhwada” from 14th September 2020 to 29th September 2020. Different competitions like Essay, Word writing related to flowers, Poem Recitation, and Rangoli Programme based on different themes were organized in which all the scientific, administrative, and temporary staff of ICAR-DFR, Pune participated. Owing to the ongoing pandemic situation, all programs were organized online mode. The motto of the programs organized was to celebrate, the importance of the Hindi language along with creating awareness about its usage in daily life. The pandemic has not deterred us from holding the Hindi Pakhwada the Directorate has organized Hindi Pakhwada and all the staff has actively participated in various competitions through the online mode. At the end of the day on 30th September, we celebrated “Hindi Pakhwada Samapan Samaroh”. Dr. S. D. Sawant, honorable Vice Chancellor of Dr. B.S.K.K.V. Dapoli, was the chief guest of that program. The program started with a brief introduction of “Hindi Diwas” and Dr. K. V. Prasad, Director welcomed our chief guest, Dr. S. D. Sawant. Speaking on the occasion of the closing ceremony of the program, Dr. S. D. Sawant, honorable Vice Chancellor of Dr. B.S.K.K.V. Dapoli, said “Hindi is one language which can be spoken across the country” and he also emphasized the importance of Hindi and encouraged the staff to use more and more Hindi in our official works as Hindi is the simplest language. Dr. S. D. Sawant, honorable Vice Chancellor of Dr. B.S.K.K.V. Dapoli, congratulated all the winners of the various competitions. The winners of the competitions were awarded cash prizes and certificates of participation.
