The ICAR-CAZRI, Regional Research Station-Pali, celebrated the ‘World Environment Day on 5th June 2023 on Mission LiFE., Lifestyle for environment. A total of 20 participant including the institute’s scientific, technical, supporting staff and contractual labour staff attended the programme. The tree planting program was initiated by planting of 25 trees with four different tree species viz., Neem (Azadirachta indica,), almond (Terminalia catappa), Amaltas (Cassia fistula) and Gulmohar (Delonix regia). During the awareness program, Dr. R.S. Mehta (Head) created awareness on the importance of the environment in agricultural production to the staffs. Dr. Keerthika A., Scientist (Agroforestry) highlighted on sustainable use of natural resources and conservation of the ecosystem of environment. Dr. Kamla K. Choudhary, Scientist (Soil Science) emphasized the importance of the Environment; necessary steps to be taken for maintaining soil health and conservation, and protection of soil ecosystem environment. The program ended with taking pledge on protecting the environment.
