Palampur 28 September. World Rabies day, with the theme ‘All for one, one health for all’ was celebrated at CSK H.P.Agriculture University here today.
The Department of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. G C Negi College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences initiated a free anti rabies vaccination drive for pets. Dr.Ravindra Kumar, Dean, told that this will drive will continue on every Friday in the coming months. This will be further followed up by anti-rabies vaccination of the veterinary students against this very fatal viral disease. The celebration highlighted the importance of achieving the goal of one health and the day marked the need to fight the rabies for the benefit of the society.
Dr.D.K.Vatsa, Vice-Chancellor appreciated the efforts of Drs Ravindra Kumar, Adarsh Kumar, S.P.Tyagi, Ajay Katoch, Ankur Sharma and other faculty members and students who took this initiative for the benefit of society.
