A five days Training-cum-Demonstration Programme on “Application of agro-chemical in rabi crops through drone technology” was organised at KVK, Buxar; Ekderwa, Gerua Bandh and Kukudha villages of Buxar district of Bihar during 8-12 January 2024. Live demonstrations of spraying of agro-chemical (nano urea) through drone were conducted on rabi crop such as wheat, gram, mustard and berseem. Dr Deokaran, Head, KVK Buxar educated the farmers on potential of Agri-Drones and underlined the benefits of drones technology in agriculture. Dr. Pawan Jeet aware farmers about operating procedures of drone and conducted live demonstration of drone in farmers field. Dr. Prem Kumar Sundaram highlighted the benefits and different on-going govt. scheme and subsidy offers on drone technology in agriculture. Under this programme, spraying of nano urea was demonstrated in KVK, Buxar (5 acres: wheat and 1 acre: gram), Ekderwa (5 acres: wheat), Gerua Bandh (4 acres: Wheat) and Kukudha (5 acres: wheat; 0.5 acre: mustard; 0.5 acre: berseem) with drone technology. More than 300 farmers were present at the demonstration site during training programme. A total of 31 students of D.A.V. Public school, Itarhi Road, Buxar also benefitted with this training programme. Dr. Ramkewal (SMS), Dr. Hargovind (SMS), Shri Manoj Kumar Sinha and staffs of KVK, Buxar were also present.
