ICAR-IVRI organized a three days training programme on “Rearing of Indigenous cattle and production of clean A2 milk and exploring the possibility of application of IoT in Micro dairy business” sponsored by Kamdhenu Abhiyan, Shahjahanpur was organised by ICAR-IVRI, Izatnagar. A total of 17 farmers actively participated into the programme during 13th to 15th March, 2024. The training programme was inaugurated on 13th March, 2024 with the welcome address of chief guest Dr Rupasi Tiwari (Joint Director Extension Education). She welcomed the participants and briefed the participants about different aspects of rearing of Indigenous cattle and application of IoT in Micro dairy business.

During these three days training programme, a total of 12 lectures were organized for trainees on various aspects of importance and scope of indigenous cattle rearing and production, housing of indigenous cattle, their selection and procurement, balance feeding and clean A2 milk production, reproductive issues as well as application of IoT in Micro dairy business. Apart from these lectures, exposure visits were organised to IVRI cattle farm, KVK Farm, green fodder field and Vermicompost unit.

Valedictory session of the training programme was organised on 15th March, 2024 at ATIC committee room of ICAR-IVRI. Dr Triveni Dutt, Director cum Vice Chancellor, ICARIndian Veterinary Research Institute, was the chief guest and motivated the farmers regarding cattle rearing and milk processing. He highlighted about various services rendered by the institute to benefit the farmers. Dr. Rupasi Tiwari, the Joint Director of Extension Education, graced the occasion and stressed that participants to use ICT tools in cattle rearing for sustainable livelihoods. Certificates were given to the participants at the end of the training program. Dr. Shruti, the coordinator of the training program, concluded the program with a vote of thanks.
