RAWEP students from KVK, Malyal organized a Rythusadassu and Agricultural exhibition at Shanigapuram village of Mahabubabad Mandal & district on 10-04-2024. Dr. R. Uma Reddy, ADR, RARS, Warangal as the chief guest & Dr.A.Venkat Reddy , Associate Dean i/c, Agricultural college, Warangal as the special guest of the programme, inaugurated the exhibition stalls prepared by RAWEP students on “ Direct seeding paddy, IPM in chili and Rice, Integrated farming system, HDPS Mango, oil palm cultivation, mulching, micro irrigation, Vermicompost, crop residue management, vertebrate pest management, etc”. The guests keenly listened to the explanation given on different exhibits and their importance by the students. Dr.N.Kishore Kumar, SMS (Extension), explained RAWEP Programme objectives and work carried by RAWEP students in the village. Village wise students shared their RAWEP experiences and host farmers expressed their views on the programme. Dr. S. Malathi, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Malyal, addressed the gathering and informed that RAWEP programme is a unique programme wherein both students and farmers get a chance to update themselves in agriculture and allied sectors and villagers should make use of the programme effectively by involving the students. Sri. T.Thirupathi Reddy, MAO, Mahabubabad opined that students should utilize this RAWEP Programme for the knowledge improvement and career development, Dr.A.Venkat Reddy , Associate Dean i/c, Agricultural college, Warangal congratulated the students for their effort on conducting successful Rythusadassu and agricultural exhibition at Shanigapuram and each village students should identify one specific Problem of the village and try to give solution to that problem and student should visit the innovative farmers field like IFS, Organic farming and HDPS horticulture crops field and collect details.
Dr. R. Uma Reddy, ADR, RARS, Warangal appreciated different models exhibited by the RAWEP students and suggested make live models. While addressing the gathering, he requested the farmers to adopt the integrated farming for sustainable income to the farmers. Crop rotation for regular income, better management practices for high yield and income. He also pointed out that RAWEP is a unique opportunity for students to learn about the rural society. KVK, Malyal scientists – Dr. N. Kishore Kumar, Dr. N. Sharat Chandra, Assistant Professor (Ag.Extension), Dr. Ch. sowjanya (Ag.Economics) and Dr.A.Archana (Ag.Economics), Agricultural College, Warangal, Smt.S.Raja Laxmi ,AEO, Mahabubabad cluster and 168 farmers visited the stalls and attended the Sadassu.
