Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Bathinda successfully concluded an eight-day vocational training on dairy farming. The training saw the participation of 48 farmers, farm women, and rural youth from various villages.

The programme commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Gurdeep Singh Sidhu, Deputy Director (Training) at KVK Bathinda, who emphasized the significance of agriculture and allied occupations.

Dr. Ajitpal Singh Dhaliwal, Professor (Animal Science) and course coordinator, delivered lectures on diverse aspects of dairy farming, including buffalo and cow breeds, shed construction, feed and fodder management, clean milk production, disease control, and vaccination.

Dr. G.K. Dhillon, a food technologist from the Regional Research Station in Bathinda, spoke on the importance of dairy processing for increasing farm income.

Additionally, Dr. G.S. Dhillon, Professor of Extension Education, discussed the formation of Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), and

Dr. Vinay Singh, Assistant Professor (Plant Protection), shared insights on the use of balanced fertilizers and pesticides in fodder crops.
