National Media Club organized one day (July 11, 2024) Mango Festival cum Exhibition- 2024 at Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture & Technology, Kanpur. Scientists and Technical Officer of ICAR- CISH participated and showcased mango varieties. The festival was inaugurated by Honourable Member of Parliament, Kanpur city constituency Shri Ramesh Awasthi along with Honourable Minister of Finance, Govt. of U.P. Shri Suresh Khanna on July11, 2024 and also visited institute stall with mango varieties and appreciated. More than 130 mango varieties including commercial varieties such as Dashehari, Langra, Chausa, Mallika, Amrapali, Arunika, Ambika, mango hybrids and heirloom mango varieties along with value added products displayed. More than thousands visitors including officials from various departments, farmers, women, students, youths visited the stall and interacted with Team of CISH. They were also made about various mango varieties, availability of planting materials and production technologies of mango. Dr A.K.Singh, Honorable Vice Chancellor, Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture & Technology, Kanpur was the Chief Guest of the function. Dr. Naresh Babu, Dr. Vishambhar Dayal, Dr Amar Kant, Kushwah and ACTO Shri. Arvind Kumar coordinated the programme.
