Mahatma Gandhi Jayanthi was observed at Regional Agricultural Research Station, Palem on 2nd October, 2023 to commemorate the 154th Birth Anniversary of Mohandas Karam Chand Gandhi revered as Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the Indian Nation. This significant day pays tribute to the enduring legacy of man whose life and teaching have left an indelible mark on the world. Mahatma Gandhi, known for his philosophy of non-violence (Ahimsa) and his relentless pursuit of freedom, justice and equality continues to inspire and guide generations across the globe. The programme was started with garlanding the photo of Mahatma Gandhi by Dr. K. Sridhar, Scientist (Agronomy) i/c ADR and explained about the role of Bapuji in India Independence movement. Later, staff and students paid floral tributes to Gandhiji. The teaching and non-teaching staff of RARS and APT, Palem along with APT students participated in the celebrations.
