KVK, Palem organized training cum input distribution programme on CFLD-Castor on castor crop on 22.10.2024 at KVK, Palem, Nagarkurnool dist during Rabi, 2024-25. The CFLD on Castor has been taken up in 4 clusters namely Chegunta (24 no), Thimmajipet (8 no.), Lingala (22 no.) Achampet (14 no.). Dr. T. Prabhakar Reddy, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Palem has briefed about importance of oil seeds and explained production technologies to get higher yields and oil seeds explained about the importance timely operations in field and it will reduce the yield losses of the crop.CFLD i/c Mr. Mr. B. Rajashekar, SMS, (Agricultural Extension) has explained the importance of the cluster front line demonstrations on Castor, integrated crop management technologies to obtained higher yield levels in castor crop. Dr.O.Shaila, SMS, (Plant Protection) explained about integrated Pest and disease management technologies. In this programme distributed critical inputs to the farmers viz., Seed of Castor (PCH-111) 3Kg, Pendimithalin 1 lt per acre and Trichoderma Viride . A total of 42 farmers were participated.
