Origins — from AICRIP 1965 to DRR 1975 to IIRR 2014

IIRR's institutional history is inseparable from the story of the All India Coordinated Rice Improvement Project (AICRIP). AICRIP — India's largest crop coordinated project

The All India Coordinated Research Project on Rice (AICRIP), coordinated by IIRR Hyderabad, is the multi-location varietal, hybrid and agronomy trial network that underwrites every rice release in India. Flagship varieties — Improved Samba Mahsuri and the DRR Dhan series
